JUNIPER | Juniper is a 5-month old spayed female shepherd/border collie/ mix. She is most likely the litter-mate to Aspen [see Aspen bio]. They were found in a desolate canyon adjacent to a high-speed roadway in extreme heat, without a tag or a microchip. They had no access to food or water. They leaped into the hands of their rescuers, thankful that someone had stopped. They would likely not have survived another day in those conditions. Authorities were contacted and a search for their home yielded no results. So, Aspen and Juniper are now in our safety net.

Both do well with other dogs and love people. They will benefit from some basic obedience once in their new home, but this will be easy – they are both exceptionally smart. Last weekend they had their first training session with a professional and they charmed the pants off of everyone. We think that they would be fine if adopted to separate homes.
